ZF900 Overall Migration & Non-Volatile Residue Tester features an integrated system design including water bath evaporation, heating and drying, cooling, and constant temperature weighing.It is applied to test overall migration (non‑volatile residue, evaporation residue) in purified water, pharmaceutical packaging materials, food packaging, cigarette tipping paper, chemical reagents, etc.It can also be used for moisture content, loss on drying of solid samples, and determination of total dissolved solids in water quality testing.

 

Testing Principle

The evaporation cups in the test chamber are heated, cooled and weighed according to the set temperature, repeating the cycle until constant weight is achieved.The test solution is added into the evaporation cup, evaporated via water bath, then dried at 105 °C in the chamber and cooled.After cooling, the evaporation cup is weighed by an analytical balance (readability 0.01 mg) to verify constant weight. The test ends when the constant weight requirement is satisfied.
