What factors affect the service life of the gas detector

As one of the commonly used detection instruments in industrial production, the gas detector can detect the concentration of toxic and hazardous substances in production, and send out an alarm when the preset alarm value is reached, so as to ensure the personal safety of front desk personnel.

Factors affecting the service life of gas detectors:

1. Temperature changes will affect the actual amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. If the temperature in the working space fluctuates greatly, the results detected by the gas detector may drift. In this case, the gas detector should be calibrated on site. Zero, which can minimize the influence of temperature on the detection results of the gas detector.

2. The air humidity in the work space increases, and the water vapor in the air will drive off the oxygen, which may cause the oxygen reading to cause a drop. This effect will not be found immediately, but after a few hours it will slowly affect the degree of oxygen and affect the detection. As a result, we should pay attention to the temperature and humidity of the air in the work air when inspecting the air, and adjust the detector.

3. At present, many gas detectors can replace the detection sensor, but this does not mean that a detector can be equipped with different detector probes at any time. Whenever the probe is replaced, in addition to a certain sensor activation time, the instrument must be recalibrated.

4. The gas detector has a fixed detection range for all kinds of toxic and harmful gas detectors. Only when the measurement is completed within its measurement range, can the instrument accurately perform the measurement. However, measuring beyond the measuring range for a long time may cause permanent damage to the sensor.
