The drafting and formulation of the two national standards followed the whole-process control concept of raw materials, equipment, process, and testing methods, and focused on the core content that affects the quality of gravure printing, looking for important technical nodes and content that need to be controlled from all aspects.
In the process of drafting and formulating the standard, the experts of the drafting group have the courage to challenge technical difficulties, not only systematically summarized the technical control points of paper, plastic film, ink and other materials, but also targeted important tooling accessories such as doctor blades, impression rollers, ovens, etc. The key points of technical control and control methods were discussed, and a more ideal control method was given.
Regarding the current situation where unified technical data cannot be given, the drafting team gave the technical indicators and corresponding control methods that need to be controlled in gravure printing. More prominently, in view of the general lack of establishment of color management systems in the gravure field, the drafting team will give hints and instructions in the informative appendix of the plastic gravure standard for the basic method of building a color management system in the gravure field.
The two national standard drafting teams will complete the standard’s solicitation of comments in July this year, and the National Printing Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC170) and the Gravure Printing Branch of the China Printing Technology Association will solicit extensively across the industry through the Internet and e-mail.
